I walked up the stairs to Adam's room and stood there like a scarecrow. But there weren't any crows to scare so I guess I'm just standing. I was scared to my guts of what Adam would do, ignore me completely? Look at me? Or just scream and shout -- like a girl.
I couldn't believe I was
afraid, so I let it out by knocking on his door so hard, it hurt."Look dude, I just wanna-"
"Hey."
I stopped mid-sentence, staring into his eyes before I realized I was doing a crime. He opened the door wider and let me in. Right this instant, he somehow looked charming and approachable, unlike how he really is.
"I'm sorry?" I asked, stepping inside his room. His room. His big big room. His small room that became big.
"How did you, is this? WOW." I stopped, again. I was having trouble being sane today, obviously.
"I clean up." He smiled and gave me a wink.
"Right, okay now, I just wanna invite you," I settled on his bed, still stunned by his charm and his difference. "OH EM GEE, SO BOUNCY!"
Adam came closer, and rolled his eyes, "just get to the point, will ya?"
"Invite you to my friend, Mary's party, cavern, whatever." I flashed a tooth-ad smile. Suddenly feeling easy around him. He shrugged,"Sure. Who is this Mary?"
"Oh she's an awesome person. She wants me to invite you so you could stop being mad at me because she somehow also knows that you have a small insy beety secret that I wanted to know so badly and I somehow disturbed and madden you and --"
His eyes widen as he fake fainted backwards before struggling to get up again. "Too much info, huh?" I cringed.
"Ya think?"

I grabbed my fuschia coloured tote bag, inside filled with a cell phone, bunch of keys, one small book for nothing, lipgloss, curler, sunglasses and I even packed my bikini!
"Are you done now?" I asked, sounding annoyed. His charm wore off yesterday after I apologized and he tried so hard to act cool and brushed it off. It was all an act, though I appreciated the front part of it.
"Yes Yes!" his pitchy voice coming out from his room. Which I knew now, that he already planned cleaning up his room, to impress me. Now we know what he's been doing locking himself in his room.
I dropped myself on the pink couch, facing the TV. Without delay, Leonardo DiCaprio's vivid image popped in my mind again. His pre-double chinned days.
"Okay, me done!" I heard Adam screeched in front of me before I dismiss my daydream. I turned to angle at him when I caught laughing gas immediately.
"W-WHAT ARE YOU PUTTING ON?!" I screamed, laughing insanely.
"I don't know, it's a disco right?" he fiddled with his retro 80's blouse and his pants, worn so high up his shirt.
"I just can't believe..." I trailed off, still laughing so hard. "You look sooooo bad you can win!"
He shot me an icy glare, enough for me to laugh harder.

"Thanks Mum and Dad, and I'm sorry." I stepped down from the car and hurried into the tavern. I couldn't see what the tavern is, yet. People were crowding around the tavern it's apparent Mary wasn't lying about the whole school coming up.
"We gotta find her." I grabbed Adam by his wrist as he screamed goodbye to Mum and Dad, "Come on!"
"Slow down, pucker!" he shouted. We ran and squeezed our way in, and I jerked someone almost touching me. "Freak."
I still couldn't spot Mary, and Adam wasn't much help as he probably didn't know how Mary looked like. "Okay, she has curly auburn hair, and small head. And she looks chubby, and short, so spot her!"
"I see."
"You see?" I turned to face him, still finding it hard since it was so cramped. The songs which were played were streaming in loud and clear and now I even found it hard to talk.I've never been in such a big party, so you can probably guess how new this is to me.
I tried walking to a corner with Adam still on my heels. "EEEUUUUGG" I let out a squeal as I crammed further. "Get offffff meeee!"
I was getting sweaty and I STILL haven't spotted anyone, in fact, that I know of. "You see who?" I asked, now standing in the corner, still breathing.
"My friends, they're right there. I'll join you later?" he asked uncertainly.
"Wait no, I -"
He turned to leave but stopped and stared at me, "What?"
I shook my head, "Go ahead."

Oh thank God, I finally found an ENTRANCE.
"YES!"
I ran into it and inside was a still of silence and light and MARY!
"Mary!" I cried, opening my arms to welcome any sort of hugs or 'squeeze-me' or handjives. But strangely, she sat still and behind the shadows, I saw someone else. Sitting like her.
I crept forward, and Mary gave me a little nod and smile widely.
"I'm just treating my brother, I'll be right outside after he's feeling okay." Mary said, as she rubbed her brother's shoulder. His neck was dangling over his head in a different angle, but he looked fine. He had the same auburn hair and he looked petite and sweet. Just a little demented and it broke my heart.
"Awwwh, who's this?" I asked, leaning over to face that boy, estimately 11.
"His name is Oscar," Mary replied as she stood up and straightened her party clothes. "He's a lil sick now. Hey, let's go outside, I wanna party already!" she whispered loudly. She gave a little goodbye wave to Oscar and grab me to run with her.
"I'll explain it to you later, but right now, bring me to your brother!" Mary choked at her last word. Her sequined dress was worn over olive green leggings, and it looked drop dead gorgeous as the light shone.
I squeezed back the same way and caught Adam looking at another girl, he tried to whistle. Poor thing.
"There he is," I pulled her from the rest of the crowd, giving her a better view. But she could only face his head.
"Okay, I'll bring you to him. Now remember, he's a girl and does not understand good humor, so act kid like to him." I smiled at Mary as she nodded.
I tapped on Adam's shoulder. He turned around with a can of beer on his hand. "Yes?" he asked, sounding swag.
"I think you're drunk." I commented, pushing Mary towards him and covering my nose, his breath kills. "This is Mary and --"
Mary sent a slap across his face as I tried to contemplate what to say next.
